Merchant Mariner Medical Advisory Meeting



The Merchant Mariner Medical Advisory Committee will meet on March 14 and March 15, 2016 to address medical certification of merchant mariners and the medical standards for issuance of certificates to operators of commercial vessels.  The meetings will be held at the Crowley Maritime Corporation on the 1st Floor Conference Room, 9487 Regency Square Blvd.  Jacksonville, Fl 32225.  The details of the meeting and the agendas to be addressed can be found at:

Background:
On 2/18/2015 a Proposed Rule was published in the Federal Register by the U.S. Coast Guard addressing: Medical Waivers for Merchant Mariner Credential Applicants with cardiomyopathy, obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and diabetes.  The comment period was closed on 5/19/2015.
